| EXPERIENCE: |
Stony Curtis started out his musical career at a very early age. Coming from a family where both parents are musicians, and 5 children, his parents got them all started on various stringed instruments. Stony got put on violin, and started lessons at age 7. Studying at New England Conservatory he developed a broad knowledge of music theory and played in various orchestras. He also played weddings and other gigs with his family. He also played in the concert band and Jazz band in high school on Trombone.
At age 16 he heard Randy Rhoads (of Ozzy Osbourne fame) and fell in love with guitar. After begging his parents for an electric guitar, mom and dad finally gave in and got him one. He started his first band the very next day! That was called "Three Blind Drive", and was basically a punk rock band. Within 2 months of getting his axe, he had played a few shows and already recorded his first album. Moving on from there after high school, he played in a number of bands, most notably "Vital Transformation", and a cover act named "All Id". After becoming dissolusioned with that cover scene, he made it into the Boston scene joining "Mad Jack", which recorded a rare 3 song demo (released under the name "Suspiria"), and played many of the local Boston clubs. All the while playing in yet another well known cover band named "Lulu’s in Crisis".
Moving on from that scene he helped found the notorious Boston Rock/Horror act "Voodoo Screw Machine", which is actively working on their second CD release. He also helped found the local hard rock act "Flash in Blue" (with Nikki) which is also currently working on it’s third CD release.
Still finding time between these two projects, he was very happy to land the illustrious gig with TIMEZONE, where he currently resides as lead guitarist/violinist! Welcome to the newest line up of TIMEZONE!!!!!!
